Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday directed officials that justice for the victims and benefits of the government's welfare scheme for the beneficiaries should be achieved in time as it was the top priority of his government.
Yogi was listening to the visitors at the Janata Darbar at the Digvijaya Nath Auditorium in the Gorakhnath Temple and strongly told the officials to take immediate action on the complaints of the people and that it should be postponed regardless.
On the second day of his visit, the CM heard about 400 visitors and told them not to worry as every problem would be solved. Visitors from Bahraich, Mau, Kushinagar and Maharajganj district reached the Janata Darbar. The CM took their requests and forwarded them to the officials concerned.
Earlier, the CM arrived here on Monday evening and held a review meeting with the district authorities and took feedback on the progress of land acquisition for the international cricket stadium to be built on over 120 acres on Gorakhpur Varanasi highway and veterinary school.
Yogi took cognizance of the frequent power outages and directed the officials to stop the shutdown for renovation and load increase. According to him, the supply of electricity should become more efficient.
Yogi, after reviewing the steps taken by officials to deal with water extraction, ordered the completion of drain cleaning in a week and issued a flood warning.
